From the Desk of Thomas Ott

I woke up one morning and decided to build a life instead of making a living.

Quiet Night Thoughts, by Li Po

Written around 720 by Li Po, "Quiet Night Thoughts" is a very well known and famous poem. Ask any Chinese person and they'll probably be able to recite it verbatim.  It sounds even better when my wife reads it out loud in Chinese.

Before my bed
there is bright moonlight
So that it seems
like frost on the ground:

Lifting my head
I watch the bright moon,
Lowering my head
I dream that I'm home.
